  • Then why sell distributorships at all? For distributors, they are necessary to make real money. For the company, they are necessary to create demand... the biggest customer for these firms are those who've been suckered into the business of MLM. They are the ones who buy the products.

  • Any shift seems to have more to do with external forces than internal ones... Asia is the new Europe... Seattle is the new New York. I think it's an interesting idea. Seattle has a lot of growing up to do if this is the case. And Seattle politics have their own problems... plenty of them.

  • Let's remember that the Democrats DIDN'T shout down Bush in Iraq... they supported the actions there. It was only after we didn't find WMD that Democrats changed their tune. I find that somewhat dishonest, but that's another matter entirely.

  • How would this benefit us? At least Safeco Field and Qwest Field replaced an outdated dome with state of the art seating for baseball and football. There's not a bad seat in the house. But the already updated KeyArena needs to be updated some more so we can add more LUXURY seats. I'm not sold.

  • Repairs and clean-up procedures do take a long time, thanks to the fact that nearly all gov't work is union labor, which drives up the cost of projects, as well as the time it takes to do them. Which is why it takes a year for them to widen a street, but a few days to create a parking lot.

  • MLM is fundamentally flawed in ways that make it largely unviable. MLM often ignores simple supply/demand forces, making it harder for distributors to sell their product.

  • Seattle has been using the "12th Man" for a very long time as well. They should have issued a cease and desist twenty years ago, not now.

  • I've never been to a NASCAR race, but the one time I went to a small track with NASCAR type cars, you could really smell the fumes. I always wondered how dangerous that would be. I didn't even know you could get leaded fuel anymore.
